WHAT DOES NEXBANK DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM THE MOBILE APPLICATION?

 

Why?

The mobile application requests access to information stored on your device such as location, camera, contacts, images, or other features you are enrolled in to enrich and simplify your own user experience and improve our services, as well as provide additional security to protect your account. As you know, when you register, access, and use the App, you provide us with personal and sensitive information that includes your name, password, government identifiers like your social security number (SSN) or drivers’ license number, phone number, email address, physical or mailing address, financial information, payment information, payment card information, and credit information.

 

It is important for you to understand that:

 

  • Before granting access to this information, you will be prompted to give the application that permission.
  • If you do not wish to grant that permission, you may decline.
  • If you later change your mind, those permissions can be updated in your device’s settings.

 

What?

Some examples of information your app will request access to are:

 

  • Location – Your location is used to prevent fraudulent activity and to display locations near you.
  • Contacts – Allowing access lets you add contacts to use with features that allow you to send money via your mobile app. We will only add the contacts you choose, and that information will not be shared.
  • Camera/Images – This app uses your camera to capture check images, scan ID, scan authorized QR codes and to conduct video chat, if available.

 

How?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. Our App will only share information with third parties with your consent, for the purpose of providing you with Services or to process transactions you have requested, or for the other ancillary purposes described in this Mobile Privacy Disclosure.

 

The application information is retained in accordance with state and federal record retention laws. Please contact us to determine specific timeframes for your personal stored information and if that information may be deleted.

Mobile Banking
Mobile Banking requires that you download the Mobile Banking app and is only available for select mobile devices. Message and data rates may apply.

Account alerts are sent via text. Message and data rates may apply.

 

Touch ID® or Face ID®
Certain devices are eligible for enrollment in Touch ID®, Face ID® or fingerprint sign-in. If eligible, you will have the option to enroll by following the prompts within the mobile banking app. If you store multiple fingerprints on your device including those of additional persons, those persons will also be able to access your mobile banking app via fingerprint, including the ability to access a call center, when Touch ID or fingerprint is enabled. Data connection required. Wireless carrier fees may apply.

 

Zelle is not available within our online banking suite of products, however is included in the source code of the mobile banking environment. Zelle® should only be used to send money to friends, family or others you trust. We recommend that you do not use Zelle® to send money to those you do not know. Transfers require enrollment in the service with a U.S. checking or savings account and must be made from an eligible consumer or business deposit account. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minute. Data connection required. Message and data rates may apply. Neither NexBank nor Zelle® offers a protection program for any authorized payments made with Zelle®. Regular account fees apply.
