Community Involvement

NexBank is committed to making a positive impact in the community it lives, works and serves in. Through community development, housing, financial literacy, youth empowerment, and women's leadership programs, NexBank strives to make sustainable changes and build a stronger community for the residents of Dallas and other surrounding counties in the Dallas-Plano-Irving metropolitan division.

Housing

Loan Programs for low to moderate-income borrowers

To meet the diverse needs of low- to moderate-income borrowers in Texas, NexBank partners with organizations to create loan programs that offer mortgage-lending capital, and cover closing and title costs for borrowers. NexBank has provided low- to moderate-income housing loans for nearly 2,900 families in Texas.⁵  Our goal is to expand the program’s reach to help more residents achieve the American dream of home ownership.

Veterans of Texas

NexBank is honored to provide support for the Veterans of Texas through loan programs that give them the opportunity to purchase land or a home. NexBank has helped more than 5,500 Texas veterans, military members and their families with low-interest loans.⁵

Helping the Homeless

NexBank partners with local organizations to provide housing, homeless recovery services and housing education to those in need. NexBank is proud to be a sponsor of Homebase for Housing, a housing information and referral program that collaborates with local Dallas organizations and agencies to create an extensive resource center that includes housing search assistance, referrals for housing, emergency shelter options, and resources to assist with past due bills, plus other related supportive services. Visit Homebase for Housing here.

Special Care Housing and Counseling

NexBank supports organizations that improve the quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS through affordable housing options and leasing programs, counseling and specialized care.

Financial Literacy Education

NexBank reaches public schools in Dallas and Collin counties with an interactive computer program to teach financial literacy. Students are taught the basics of personal finance and are given the knowledge and skills to make smart financial decisions. NexBank also partners with nonprofits in the community to offer financial literacy to elementary school age children, teenagers and adults to help instill knowledge about money, banking and finances.

Youth Empowerment

Housing

Our community partners provide services to families affected by homelessness.  Their services focus on housing and income for adults and education stabilization for children to help families recover and achieve self-sufficiency.

For youth experiencing homelessness, our partners offer residential and outreach counseling services to provide them with the skills and education they need to become independent, productive members of society.

Academics and Enrichment Activities

We support programs for students in and out of the classroom that drive creativity, leadership and academic skills and also help students develop their social skills and expand their personal interests.  NexBank also offers internships and participates in corporate work study programs that allow students to gain critical work experience.

Women’s Leadership

Empowering Women

NexBank works with local organizations that empower women through opportunities in housing, childcare, and education to support the economic security and leadership potential of all women and girls in our community.

Community Development

NexBank’s many local partnerships support the development of Dallas through grants and community-based real estate projects in low-income neighborhoods, giving residents the opportunity to build a strong and caring community where they live. It is our privilege to offer access to capital for real estate projects that serve the needs of Dallas families.
