Davis R. Deadman has served as the Chief Executive Officer of NexBank, SSB, since 2004. Before joining NexBank, he was the Senior Portfolio Manager and Team Leader at Highland Capital Management. He was responsible for leading the team and sourcing and making investment decisions in managing a portfolio worth approximately $2.6 billion.

Previously, Mr. Deadman was an Investment Officer at Mutual Benefit Life. Along with managing portfolio sales, he was responsible for the restructure/workout of over $200 million in loans in the Southeastern U.S. involving commercial real estate (shopping centers, apartments, hotels, and office buildings). Mr. Deadman began his career as an Assistant Vice President responsible for originating commercial real estate loans for both a regional bank and a national credit company.

Mr. Deadman holds a BA in Finance from Texas A&M University as well as an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Southern Methodist University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
