Mike Rossi, CPA

Beyond serving as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for NexBank, Mike Rossi is also Chief Financial Officer of the bank's holding company, NexBank Capital, Inc. As CFO, Mr. Rossi monitors the financial strength of the bank, coordinates financial reporting, manages the company's tax liability, raises capital, and coordinates all merger & acquisition activities. Mr. Rossi also manages the deposits, human resource and information technology departments.

Mr. Rossi has deep experience as an entrepreneur. He previously owned and operated a mortgage firm, Legacy Lending Group, LLC. He also owned and operated Texadelphia of Dallas, Inc., where he raised over $1 million of private equity to fund the opening of four profitable restaurant units in the Dallas area. Mr. Rossi began his career as a senior accountant at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he consulted multinational corporations on international tax structuring.

Mr. Rossi holds both a BBA and MPA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

John Ory

As Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for NexBank, Mr. Ory oversees Agency Services, Loan Operations. Wholesale Lending and other Retail departments. Prior to joining NexBank in 2002, retail banking and general bank operations had dominated his career.

Mr. Ory holds a BBA in Marketing from East Texas State University in 1994 and obtained his MBA in 2003 from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He is also a 2007 graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking held by the Cox School of Business at SMU.

Spencer Houston
Senior Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Houston has the responsibility of directing NexBank’s Risk Management and Compliance Program. As such he is accountable for regulatory compliance, loan review, internal audit and other regulatory requirements. Prior to joining the Bank in late 2004, he served as Vice President of the Credit Administration Group at North Dallas Bank & Trust Co. for 9 years. Mr. Houston has 20 years of tenure in the independent banking arena where he began his career in 1986 with Colorado Bank & Trust Co. and, subsequently, First National Bank of Bryan, Texas.

Mr. Houston received a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, College Station in 1992 and is a 2002 graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.

Mahesh Gehani, CFA

Mr. Gehani’s career spans 14 years, with the primary emphasis on credit risk analysis, commercial real estate acquisition, and valuation services. His experience includes pre- and post-acquisition projects, distressed real estate workouts and managing a $400MM+ multi-asset class securities portfolio. Prior to joining NexBank, Mr. Gehani was a Principal at Optimal Realty Capital, a senior associate at N3 Capital, a portfolio manager at Bank of America, and a senior analyst at Sabre Inc.

Mr. Gehani holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas (Austin) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Government and Politics from the University of Maryland at College Park. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has served on the board of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth since 2006.

Tish Ashley

Tish Ashley serves as Vice President of NexBank’s Residential Mortgage Division. As such her primary role is to implement and oversee all aspects of residential mortgage sales and operations, compliance, growth, and market strategies.

Prior to joining NexBank, Ms. Ashley founded and operated The Funding Source since 1997 and was established as an industry leader in Collin, Denton, and Dallas Counties. Ms. Ashley brings her focus on team building, real estate alliances, and developing an extremely loyal customer base to NexBank’s leadership team.

Prior to her success as an entrepreneur, she also had a successful sales and management career with a national home builder. Ms. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a contributing member to associations such as Collin County Association of Realtors.
